Becki, was a nurse for 7 years, champions diversity, LGBTQ+ rights, and mental health reform. A single mom of three, she fights for quality healthcare, education, and a just, inclusive society—putting people before profits to build a stronger, fairer Canada.
My name is Becki Zimmerman, and I’m your NDP candidate for Calgary Heritage—which basically means I’ve officially traded my comfy slippers for campaign shoes, and my coffee breaks for conversations with incredible people like all of you!
I’m a proud retired nurse, a mental health advocate, and a single mom of three amazing daughters—ages 10, 20, and 27. So yes, I can confirm that parenting does, in fact, keep you humble… and also very caffeinated.
These days, I work with WestJet’s home reservations team, helping people get where they’re going. And now, I’ve decided to help us all get somewhere better—together
I’m running because I believe in a future where public healthcare stays public, where social programs don’t just support people, but lift them up, and where your postal code doesn’t decide your destiny.
I know politics can sometimes feel out of touch—but I promise, I’m just a regular person who’s tired of seeing regular people being left behind.
