"As a longtime resident of Skeena-Bulkley Valley, I've come to appreciate the incredibly unique and hardworking people who have chosen to raise their children here—along these rivers and in the shadow of these mountains.

I've worked in the sawmills, I've planted trees in the clearcuts, I've shoveled the snow, chopped the firewood and watched the sandhill cranes circling overhead. My wife and I have grown many gardens and enjoyed the fruit of our labours . . .and we’re happy to call this our home.

But across this country, many of our fellow citizens are not so fortunate. Many Canadians can’t find a family doctor. Many can’t afford to own a home. Carbon taxes have raised the cost of everything; the national debt continues to grow like a cancer and families are struggling to pay their bills.

We see so many young people driven to despair; violent crime, drug addiction and homelessness have robbed a generation of the prosperity and freedom that should be theirs.

But we don’t have to live that way. Our Charter talks about the ‘supremacy of God and the rule of law.’ I’m offering voters an opportunity to put justice and morality back into government. As your MP, I promise to bring respect for Life, Family and Freedom back to Canada. With your help, we can clean up our cities and end the plague of homelessness and despair. We need to invite manufacturing entrepreneurs back to Canada and with them, the well-paying jobs our children need. We need to encourage hard-working moms and dads and help them to believe it’s still possible to pay down a mortgage and save for the future.
