Christian Bourque, a seasoned laborer, underground writer, and committed advocate for racial, gender, and financial equality, and is the Communist candidate for Edmonton Strathcona.
Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Christian joined the Communist Party in 2017 and participated in several protests throughout the city since, later being elected to director of the Edmonton branch of the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians (AUUC). He currently works as an industrial landscaper, working ten-hour days, six days a week.
Christian’s decision to run in the federal election derives from the growing injustices plaguing Canada and the wider Western World for decades, which have resulted in overt corruption, lower living standards, declining rights and freedoms, deteriorating health and education programs, countless armed conflicts, and immense debt that taxpayers are absurdly expected to tackle. He believes that the system is intentionally rigged against the majority for the benefit of a wealthy few, Christian promising to fight for higher wages for workers, lower taxes for workers, a legitimate voice in parliament, and the donation of excess salary to benefit the people of the Edmonton Strathcona area.
Christian Bourque and the Communist Party pledge a paradigm shift to prioritize ordinary people over corporations here, now, and forever.
