Growing up in various Canadian communities, Shawn embodies resilience and determination, qualities he is ready to leverage for Carleton, where he lives with his wife and two sons. 

With 15+ years of experience in the health and wellness industry, Shawn has led major initiatives involving multiple stakeholders across government and industry. His efforts have created environments that facilitate recovery, promote healthier lifestyles, and maintain elite performance levels.

As a health and social scientist, Shawn advocates for an evidence-based approach to social and economic issues. He believes the party offers a practical option, focused on democracy's essence—the people. Having grown up as an underdog, Shawn supports those who do the right thing, even in the face of adversity.

Beyond his professional career, Shawn seeks opportunities to enhance the community. He is a passionate volunteer, actively participating in local community sports associations. He is committed to giving back to those who supported him in his youth and shaping the future for young leaders.
