Biography
The BC Greens are excited to have Tristan Cavers as our candidate for Kamloops-North Thompson. A third-generation farmer in Secwepemculecw, commonly known as Chase, Tristan lives and works on a certified organic farm with his partner Michelle and their daughter Avé. Deeply involved in his community, Tristan volunteers as a firefighter and first responder with both Chase Fire Rescue and the Adams Lake Fire Department. He also works part-time for the Thompson Nicola Regional Library system, splitting his time between the Chase branch and the Mobile Library.
In the winter, Tristan lends his skills to Harper Mountain ski area, where he works and volunteers as part of the ski patrol team. His passion for outdoor activities extends to his involvement as a cross-country ski coach with the Skmana Ski Society and Spirit North, a charitable organization that promotes sport and recreation for Indigenous youth.
Beyond his professional and volunteer commitments, Tristan is an active practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at BOA BJJ in Kamloops and trains with a small group on his farm. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his daughter, embarking on adventures that include hiking, biking, hunting, and fishing.
Tristan has also made significant contributions to local organizations, having served on the boards of the Chase Chamber of Commerce, Kamloops Regional Farmers Market, Skmana Ski and Snowshoe Club, and Chase and Area Family Services.
